The CorgiPuppies.com method

How we source breeder information

A useful breeder directory lets you inspect the evidence behind a claim. We connect recorded facts to their public source and the date that source was checked.

What is in the directory?

The current directory contains 48 breeder profiles across 11 states, referencing 80 distinct public source URLs. 43 profiles list Pembroke Welsh Corgis and 6 list Cardigan Welsh Corgis; a profile can list both.

These counts come from the same live publication feed used on the directory cards. View the public directory data (JSON) or browse profiles by state.

What counts as a source?

Breeder websites and breed-club referral directories supply the recorded identity, location and program details. A source link names its publisher and shows when the page was checked. Information about raising, owner support, contact, price or litters has its own linked evidence when it is available.

A club referral without a breeder website is labeled as a club referral. It is kept distinct from information published directly by a breeder.

What do the fact labels mean?

Published detail
The linked source states the detail shown in that field.
No — per breeder
The source explicitly says no. This is different from an empty field.
Not published
No usable source-backed detail is recorded for that field. It does not mean the answer is no.

Litter and availability information needs dated evidence. Once its recorded expiry passes, that fact stops appearing as current availability.

What does “last checked” mean?

Check dates identify when a source was reviewed; they are not the age of a puppy or a promise of current availability. Individual source links retain their own dates, and a profile's latest check reflects the newest recorded source. Updating a page design does not refresh those evidence dates.

How can a breeder correct a profile?

Open the breeder's profile and choose Own this listing? to start a claim, or Suggest a correction to report a specific detail. The account workspace collects the request and supporting information for review. Ownership access and publication of a factual change are separate decisions.

How are breeders compared?

Cards use the same fields so readers can compare the information provided. The default directory order is alphabetical, with optional state and source-check sorting. Neither source counts nor missing fields are a quality ranking or health score.

What do the pictures and maps show?

The small corgi illustrations identify the recorded breed: Pembroke, Cardigan or both. They are breed artwork. Area maps use published locality names and U.S. Census geography; a town marker represents the area's center. Breeder photographs, when published, carry their own source or credit.
